PAINT CUBA - TUITION

We offer 30 hours tuition, 6 hours a day on 5 of the days that we are in the province of Pinar del Rio. Some members of the group may choose to rise at dawn some days, in order to catch the morning mist along the valley.
Some classes will take place in the grounds of the Hotel, surrounded as it is by stunning views of the landscape. Others will take place in any one of the numerous places of scenic beauty and interest in the surrounding area.

The Cuban Artists with whom we are working reflect a range of figurative styles. They will encourage and support all participants in developing their individuality. Less experienced members of the group will be guided and encouraged to experiment with a variety of approaches.
Some of the Artists will teach in English, while others will be supported by an interpreter.
A basic range of pencils, pastels, charcoal and crayons will be made available, but we ask all participants to supply their own painting materials whether they be watercolours, acrylic or oils.

Although we offer individualised tuition within a structured day, as outlined above, we never lose sight of the fact that this is a holiday. So, although we encourage everyone to participate in all of the classes, we don’t give anyone a hard time if they choose not to do so.
Whatever your level of interest in painting, we suggest you make the most of your time in Cuba by bringing a sketch-book and a camera to record your impressions, so that you can continue to develop your ideas on your return home.
